When designing the customer profile board I took a look at the target audience of Betty Jackson and then created a character based on this.
Here is the text and imagery I used.
Betty Jackson is aimed at women in the age range of 40-55 and fit in the AB social group. An example would be Helen, 47 years old. She drives an Audi company car and lives in a detached house in Cheshire with her husband. She has two children one of which has moved out to live with her partner and the other is in her second year at Manchester University. She also owns a Miniature Schnauzer named Milo. Helen is career focused and made her way up the hierarchy of her industry, she is currently an executive manager working in the catering industry. In her spare time Helen likes to attend the gym at Total Fitness she prefers to attend the classes rather than using the equipment as she enjoys the social aspect and she spends time taking care of her skin and health by eating fruit and drinking a lot of water. She rarely cooks as she doesn’t often feel like doing so after a long day at work so often goes out for meals with her husband to classy restaurants and she often orders a bottle of red wine to share. She likes to holiday in hot countries such as the Spanish Islands and Greece and hopes to move out there once she has retired.
Although Helen isn’t interested in modern day technologies such as Apple products etc she owns a Blackberry for communicating with clients and organising her busy schedule and an Ipad which she uses predominantly for work purposes. Helen takes pride in her house so likes to spend a large amount of money on keeping it stylish and modern.
Helen also likes to spend money on clothes that suit her job role and outfits she can wear for events. She shops at stores such as Debenhams, House of Fraser and John Lewis.
